Terms of Use for Road to Qatar Play

  1. About these Terms
    1. The following terms of use (the "Terms of Use") apply to your use of any digital system, website, mobile application, API, portal, tool, or software developed, maintained, or supported by the SC, its affiliates, or any event local organising committee which SC forms part of, including www.sc.qa and www.roadtoqatar.qa (each a “Platform”, together the "Platforms") or any other Platform now or in the future.
    2. These Terms of Use are in addition to other applicable notices, guidelines and rules that may have been communicated by SC to you. SC may also publish additional notices, guidelines and/or rules on the Platforms. Information about how SC processes your personal data can be found in the SC Privacy Policy, and information regarding cookies can be found in SC’s Cookies Policy.
    3. Please read these Terms of Use carefully. By using any Platform, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use and comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing your use of the Platforms.
    4. These Terms of Use are governed by Qatari law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Qatar, provided that SC may enforce these terms in any other applicable jurisdiction.
    5. SC may revise any part of these Terms of Use or any related notices, guidelines or rules at any time. You will be notified of changes upon your next login, and such changes become binding once you accept them.
    6. These Terms of Use are drafted in English. In case of discrepancy between the English version and a translated version, the English version shall prevail.
  2. SC’s liability to you in relation to use of the Platforms
    1. SC provides content on the Platforms in good faith but makes no warranty or representation that such content is accurate, complete or up-to-date. Your use of the Platforms is entirely at your own risk. SC accepts no liability for viruses or malicious code and shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from:
      1. the use or inability to use any Platform;
      2. any failure or delay in saving or submitting data through the Platforms;
      3. unauthorised access to the Platforms;
      4. the conduct of any third party on the Platforms; or
      5. any other matter relating to the Platforms.
    2. The Platforms may contain links to other websites. SC accepts no liability for any material or use of personal data by such third parties.
    3. Nothing in these Terms limits SC’s liability where such limitation is not permitted under Qatari law.
  3. Accessing the Platforms
    1. Access is provided on a temporary basis. SC may withdraw or amend access without notice and may restrict access to parts of or entire Platforms.
    2. Certain features may require you to create an account. Usernames, passwords and any confidential information provided to you must be kept confidential. You are responsible for all activities carried out through your account. SC may disable or reset credentials at its discretion.
    3. You must immediately notify SC of any unauthorised access, breach of these Terms, or other security issue, and provide:
      1. the identity of the infringing party;
      2. the nature of the infringing activity;
      3. the location of the infringing activity;
      4. the date the activity was discovered; and
      5. any further information requested by SC.
  4. Acceptable use
    1. You may only use the Platforms for lawful and non-commercial purposes. You must not:
      1. use the Platforms in breach of any law or regulation;
      2. use them unlawfully or fraudulently;
      3. harm or attempt to harm minors;
      4. negatively impact the operation of the Platforms;
      5. transmit malicious code or harmful programs; or
      6. attempt, encourage or induce others to commit any prohibited action.
    2. You also agree:
      1. not to reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of the Platforms contrary to these Terms;
      2. not to circumvent authentication or security systems; and
      3. not to access, interfere with, damage or disrupt the Platforms, their networks, or software.
  5. Use of Permitted Materials & Intellectual Property
    1. The Platforms contain materials owned or licensed by SC or third parties. All intellectual property rights remain with SC or licensors. Except as specified in paragraph 5.2, Materials must not be copied, distributed, modified, reused, sold or used to create derivative works.
    2. If you wish to reproduce any Platform content, contact SC using the Contact Us link or write to Digital Marketing – Marketing Department, 33rd Floor, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Al Bidda Tower, Doha, Qatar.
    3. All SC names, marks, logos, designs, mascots, titles, symbols and associated goodwill are the exclusive property of SC and may not be used without written approval.
  6. Content standards
    1. Confidential or proprietary information should not be submitted unless agreed otherwise.
    2. You are responsible for all content you submit (“Submissions”).
    3. Submissions must:
      1. be true, accurate and not misleading;
      2. represent genuinely held opinions;
      3. be made only by or in respect of individuals aged 16+;
      4. be submitted for the intended purpose of the Platform; and
      5. comply with applicable law in Qatar and your jurisdiction.
    4. Submissions must not:
      1. disclose personal data of others without consent;
      2. contain sensitive data unless explicitly requested;
      3. contain commercial activity or advertising;
      4. be defamatory, obscene, offensive or inflammatory;
      5. promote explicit content, violence or illegal acts;
      6. promote discrimination;
      7. threaten, harass or alarm others;
      8. infringe intellectual property rights; or
      9. impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
    5. SC may, at its sole discretion:
      1. remove or refuse Submissions;
      2. take action against content that violates these Terms or applicable law; and
      3. disclose your identity to claimants alleging rights violations.
  7. Representatives
    1. If submitting information on behalf of others, you warrant that:
      1. you are authorised to act for them;
      2. you have their consent;
      3. they are aware of these Terms, the Privacy Policy and Cookies Notice; and
      4. they will comply with the applicable rules.
  8. Breaching the Terms of Use
    1. SC may determine a breach at its discretion and may:
      1. terminate your access to the Platforms;
      2. take legal action, including referral to law enforcement; or
      3. take any other necessary steps.
  9. Indemnity
    1. You agree to indemnify SC and its affiliates, officers, employees, partners and licensors against all losses, damages, claims, fines and legal fees arising from:
      1. your use of the Platforms;
      2. your breach of these Terms;
      3. SC’s use of materials you submit; or
      4. claims that your content infringes the rights of others.
    2. Failure by SC to enforce provisions does not constitute a waiver. If any provision is held invalid, it will be applied to the fullest extent possible.
